Interface detection

Setup wizard   -   Interface detection

The setup wizard will start with trying to detect the available interfaces (network cards) on your device. It will ask you to turn on wifi and bluetooth for this, as on some devices these interfaces are not detectable unless they are turned on. On a small number of devices it may be even be necessary to connect your device to your computer through USB as well.

Should WMWifiRouter not detect your wifi card, it will present you with a list of unknown interfaces for you to choose from. This seldom happens, though.

As part of the interface detection routine, it will also examine your available cellular connections. If there is only one cellular connection available, it will be selected automatically. If there are multiple, WMWifiRouter will present you with a list of cellular connections to choose from. It will try to detect the preferred connection and if it was able to do so, preselect it in the list.

After you have run the setup wizard, you can always change the cellular connection by going to Options, Configuration, Cellular connection .
