Cellular to Bluetooth
This connection profile shares your cellular data connection over Bluetooth, using the PAN (Personal Area Network) Bluetooth profile. Sharing using the DUN (Dial-Up Networking) Bluetooth profile is not supported.
When you use this connection profile with a specific mobile device / computer combination for the first time, you will have to make the mobile device discoverable, or the computer will not be able to find your mobile device and pair with it. The advised way of doing this is as follows:
- Connect using the Cellular to Bluetooth profile
- Go to Options, Tools, Bluetooth, Switch discoverable in WMWifiRouter, and set the Bluetooth state to On and discoverable. Note that this does not work on all devices, if you are using one of these devices, consult the Windows Mobile documentation on how to set this mode manually.
- Search for your mobile device on your computer, pair them, and select the PAN option. The precise steps needed to do this are platform and operating system dependant, and is beyond the scope of this document.
- Now that the devices are paired and set-up, you should make your device undiscoverable again. You can do this in the Options, Tools, Bluetooth, Switch discoverable screen as well, by setting the Bluetooth state to On.
If you have done this once, you will not have to do it again with the same mobile device / computer combination, unless you remove the pairing.
