Installation

Installation

There are two options for installation:

  • EXE (ActiveSync) installer, to be used from your personal computer
  • CAB installer, to be used directly on your device

To install using the EXE-based installer, make sure your device is connected to your computer by USB cable or Bluetooth and run the EXE on your personal computer. This will install the program on your device.

Note that using the EXE installer, you can input your license code (if you have one) directly into the installer. The installer will remember the license code for the next time you use it to install WMWifiRouter.

To install using the CAB-based installer, download or copy the CAB file to your device and run it on your device itself to install it.

On some devices, wifi has to be turned on before starting the installation to install successfully.

Note that if you are a user of WMWifiRouter v1.11 or earlier, you should uninstall that version before installing the new version.

Making a full backup of your device before installing WMWifiRouter (or any other software) is advised.
