Re-installing after hard-resetting your device or after switching to a new device is usually a simple matter of downloading and installing the latest version of WMWifiRouter and entering your license code.
Though this usually just works, some issues may occur. One thing users often do is install WMWifiRouter on their storage card and after a hard-reset (or switching to a new device) try to run WMWifiRouter from that storage card. This will not work, and may actually prevent WMWifiRouter from installing properly afterwards.
If you run into any issues re-installing, we recommend the following procedure, which should solve the most common issues:
- If WMWifiRouter is "installed", manually uninstall it. This can be done by going to Start -> Settings -> Systems -> Remove Programs on most devices.
- Find and remove the entire WMWifiRouter installation folder (if it still exists). The installation folder is usually (\Storage Card) \Program Files \WMWifiRouter120
- Download and install this CAB file , which will reset the WMWifiRouter registry.
- Download and install the lastest version of WMWifiRouter .
- If you have a "license CAB file" install it now, if not, start WMWifiRouter and enter your license code.
